Gallery - Before and Afters Nipple Reconstruction Patient 1 This patient had a failed implant reconstruction by another surgeon followed by radiation. Her only option was autologous reconstruction. Unfortunately her insurance plan was out of network with all of the community plastic surgeons - but Dr. Goyal was able to make it work (at no extra out of pocket cost to the patient)! She underwent bilateral breast reconstruction with DIEP flaps and a subsequent nipple reconstruction on the right breast. She will plan to tattoo her right areola in the near future. Patient 2 This incredible nurse wished to undergo bilateral skin-sparing mastectomies with direct to implant reconstruction, reducing the size of her breasts and creating an aesthetic shape all at once. She went on to receive 3D nipple tattoos (yes, those are not real!) Patient 3 This patient is a delightful lady who was shocked to discover she had breast cancer. She underwent bilateral skin-sparing mastectomy and underwent implant reconstruction a few weeks later. She ultimately ended up having bilateral 3D nipple tattooing. Her post-tattoo photos were taken at home. (Yes, those are NOT real!!!) Patient 4 This patient had a past medical history significant for a collagen deficient disorder but was still able to undergo bilateral skin sparing mastectomy with direct to implant reconstruction. She elected to have nipple reconstruction and is not interested in areolar tattooing at this time.
